What is NewEvos?

NewEvos is a cinematic arena-action esport built for the players two communities have spent a decade wishing would collide: the fighting-game lab-rats and the arena-shooter faithful.

An evolutionary event called the Surge rewired a handful of people into something more — the Evos — and the world reorganized around them. Now rival factions fight to own the arenas where evolution is decided in public, at sixty frames a second.

It plays like a fighting game with the space and momentum of an arena shooter, wrapped in a co-op and single-player campaign a newcomer can drop straight into. Arenas live inside a persistent, traversable open world; the map reads with the bold, graphic-realist clarity that makes a match legible the instant it hits stream. Every character is an event — a story, a move-set, a meta shift — and every match is tournament-ready by design.

THE PREMISE

The world didn't end. It re-organized.

An evolutionary event — the Surge — rewrote a handful of people into something more: reflexes past human frames, powers with rules. They are the Evos. Now factions fight to own the arenas where evolution is decided in public, at sixty frames a second.

Three factions. Three playstyles. One arena.

The Surge didn't end the world — it reorganized it. Three factions now fight to own the arenas where evolution plays out in public.

Faction · Discipline

The Ascendants

Believers who see the Surge as a gift to be perfected. Precision and control — the labber's faction.

Faction · Aggression

The Unwritten

Street-born Evos who reject control. Improvisation and pressure — the rushdown faction.

Faction · Spectacle

The Meridian

The syndicate that runs the arenas and sells the show — the in-world stand-in for the esport itself.

The Studio & Publisher

Matthew Foley — Independent Developer

NewEvos is developed and published by Matthew Foley, an independent game developer based in the United States, operating as a sole proprietor.

The project began as a solo pursuit with a single conviction: that the frame-tight discipline of the fighting-game community and the cinematic thrill of arena shooters were never really opposites — they were waiting for one game to hold both. NewEvos is built and run by one developer, with that founder-led voice kept at the center of every release.
